Shuttle service will be provided FREE of charge from the designated parking areas to the activity areas. Volunteers will help guide you to the parking areas and the shuttle service. ALL motorized vehicles must park in designated areas. ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS.

To whom it may concern,
With great regrets we have no choice but to change the date of the Boat Race for Backstoppers at Portage Des Sioux. With the current river levels and the projected levels and length of time the river is to remain above flood stage there is simply not enough time to prepare the race site. The new date is September 11th. (9-11) same time, same place, some entertainment may change but in all honesty with the significance of this historic date and the event to benefit the Backstoppers this could actually be a blessing to unfold. Please take the time to inform all the contacts you have worked with on this event of the new date. We want as many of the sponsors and supporters to be informed by our committee members of the date change as possible.
We want to thank all of you that have worked so hard to make this event happen and we apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause you, we can’t control mother nature!
Again we thank you and it’s time to regroup, learn from our weak areas and move on with the best event on the Mississippi River!!!
